Always learning new tech.

Years of experience learning and picking up new technologies - I've been into gadgets since I was a kid.

Design • business • engineering

Background in computer science, design and business bridges the communication gaps in organizations.

Coding.

I studied programming at university and know my basics. I can prototype with different languages if needed & use SDKs and libraries.

Big picture solver.

I love solving complex systems and how they all fit together. What is the root problem behind the challenges?

Used to "dynamic" startups.

Having been a co-founder myself, I'm used to limited resources and wearing multiple hats.

Creativity.

I spend a lot of my freetime in theater and other arts (singing, piano, …). Especially improv theater is close to my heart!

Design principles

In good design, intuitiveness, scope and feasibility come together.

Users, environment, context

Know your users! In what kind of environments and situations are they using your product? What are they trying to achieve? What kind of demographics are we talking about?

Identify what brings the most value

What is the smartest design to pick with the available resources? How much can we use ready made building blocks, assets or AI to prototype the design? I always work in collaboration with the product and engineers to evaluate the timelines and resources needed for different solutions.

Scoping is an art

Scoping is a crucial part of any successful project. I help the businesses in shaping the stakeholder requests into version releases, and can double as a product manager.

Make the right spots shine

Shipping a consumer grade app requires different level of visual design and branding to an internal tool. I evaluate the visual needs required per-project basis.

Work with the limitations of the technology

The technological limitations shape the experiences, especially in emerging technology. If designing experiences for the short-term future, I respect the shortcomings and create the best possible experience with what is possible.
