XR technology demos for marketing and showcases
At Ultraleap, I designed interactive demos that translated hand tracking technology into tangible experiences for various target markets.
Background
When new hand tracking features were developed — be it improved precision, new SDK features or new tracking inputs — I designed demos to bring them to life.
These demos served a dual purpose: they acted as conversation starters in client meetings and were used to showcase the tracking quality in global exhibitions like CES and AWE.

Key challenges
Intuitive UI for exhibition use
The UI of the experiences had to be instantly learnable - even if the user has never used hand tracking or VR.
Highlighting device capabilities
Ultraleap was known for the best hand tracking accuracy in the market - the demo design should highlight this.
Use cases that speak to different markets
Creating use cases that can spark the imagination of a wide variety of markets from consumers to OEMs looking for OS interactions.
Artefacts
Microgestures demos
Showcasing microgesture tracking capability through use case examples.
Physical hands demo
Demo created for the launch of Physical Hands SDK feature - doubling as a sample scene and a showcase demo.
Augmented reality OS demos
Designed to showcase OS interactions to smart glasses and mixed reality OEMs.
Aurora demo
A demo targeted to consumers of all ages, launched together with Leap 2 hardware product. Distributed through website and Steam.
